The Garden Club of Newtown Scholarship 2026

The Garden Club of Newtown is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior or a college student who is enrolled in an accredited college or university and is majoring in Environmental Studies which includes Ecology, Agriculture, Horticulture, Conservation, Landscape Design, Forestry and Environmental Law. The student must be a Newtown resident.  Can be in an accredited college.

Accepting Applications as of Wednesday, April 1, 2026.  Deadline date for all application submissions is Monday, June 1, 2026.

Personal Letter by Applicant (not to exceed 2 pages) Letter should include career goals & reason applicant is pursuing majoring in Environmental Studies.
Letter of Recommendation: One letter of recommendation from an educator or guidance counselor is required not to exceed 2 pages. Letter to include character reference and scholastic ability.
