Barb’s Trail

Barbs Trail

Located at intersection of Elm St. and Deepbrook Rd., across from The Newtown Village Cemetery

Established in 2009, Barb’s Trail was created to honor Barbara Kasbarian, Director Parks & Recreation, upon her retirement after 37 years of service to the Newtown community.

Barb’s Trail extends for approximately one mile concluding in a perennial and shrub garden, including a commemorative granite bench.

Not far from the end of Barb’s Trail is a white oak located in Ram Pasture. Planted in 2017 by The Garden Club of Newtown this white oak carries forward the theme of community service of “Growing Together: Tiny Acorns to Mighty Oaks”.
